Get to know Dave!

Dave Bronson has called Alaska home for more than three decades. After serving as a U.S. Air Force pilot flying B-1s and B-52s, he and his wife Debra chose to raise their family here. Their children are now thriving. One as a cancer research scientist and the other as a commercial pilot. A reflection of the opportunities Alaska can offer when the state’s future is strong.

As co-founder of the Alaska Family Council and later as mayor of Anchorage, Dave built a reputation for standing firm in turbulence and delivering results. He led through the challenges of COVID by reopening the economy, restoring freedom for families and businesses, and tackling homelessness with practical solutions. He also invested in public safety by raising police pay and securing the resources officers needed to serve effectively.

Dave believes Alaska has unmatched potential with rich natural resources, world-class talent, and communities rooted in resilience. But he knows too many Alaskans are leaving because they can’t find affordable housing, see schools failing their children, or feel the cost of living is simply too high. That’s why he’s running for Governor: to put Alaska First, restore opportunity, and ensure the next generation can build their lives here.

As Governor, Dave will bring the same energy and resolve he showed in Anchorage to the entire state. He has the chief executive experience, conservative vision, and relentless drive to take on tough challenges and deliver results for Alaska’s families.
